Calling all Sub Group Leaders, Facilitators, or Representatives:                                          an invitation to expanded community

Dear SeattleIntegral Group Leaders,

You are successfully running what would be, in most cities and countries around this increasingly complex world, a medium-sized integral salon.  Your group might focus on integral practice, action, cognitive activities, leadership, or a combination of all of these.  It must also be thrilling to know that you are facilitating an integrally-informed group that is larger than most integral salons around the world!

Therefore, the SeattleIntegral Core Group would like to invite you to participate in the continuing creation and expansion of the SeattleIntegral mission, which is:

"The mission of SeattleIntegral is to work with integral models by turning Integral Theory into Integral Action. From intention and knowledge, we are committed to experiencing and espousing inner growth and outer community. In our endeavors to transcend separateness and evolve beyond our own views to a state of non-duality, we strive to provide support for personal, communal, and global awareness, manifesting a more integral consciousness."

To this end, we are creating a monthly newsletter, beginning in September, designed to further unite the SeattleIntegral community by keeping each other apprised of what is going on in our various groups.  Our request, and our offering to you and the community, is to provide a space where you can talk about what is going on with your group, what you're offering to the integral world, and how your participation is making a difference in your lives, individually and collectively.

Our hope is that this newsletter will inform and inspire others to tread the paths you are already walking, that it will help to spread integral consciousness, and that your contributions will assist SeattleIntegral in becoming an even larger doorway where others who are seeking to differentiate from the structures they are questioning can find a new direction, a more integral approach, and expanded ways of being.

We invite you and any other members of your group to write a short monthly column about your activities.  Perhaps just a couple of paragraphs (or more, if you wish!) about the group, what it's doing, stories about how the group has contributed to the lives of its participants, what its value is to you, or anything else you'd like to talk about.

If you don't have time to write a short column about your group activities, ask others in your group if this is something they'd like to be involved in. Perhaps you could even rotate responsibility for the column on a month-to-month basis.

However much you feel moved to contribute is most welcome, and we'd love to hear any ideas you might have for the newsletter that might make it more successful, and more meaningful, to you.

Won't you join us?

The Core Group:
consists of Gary Stamper, Tom Mull, Venita Ramirez, Jake Werre, Blaine Snow, Nina Pearson, Anita Manuel

Please limit subgroup columns to 500 words or less. Submittals for upcoming issues must be received by the 12th of the month

Articles related to integral matters may be submitted to the editorial board (Gary, Jake, Venita, and Blaine), who reserve the right to edit with the author's approval. Articles should be limited to 1,000 words. Deadline for any month is three weeks prior to the first of the month.

Newsletter Format

For now, this will be the format of the Newsletter. The first group columns will begin appearing in the newsletter in October, as the September issue will introduce the newsletter concept to the general SI group. An announcement will be sent to the group through the Yahoo! list and a link will be provided to take people to the newsletter posted on our soon-to-be launched website. If anyone knows how to send html newsletters in emails without a subscription service, please let Gary know.

New SI Website Launching soon!

We're hoping to get the new SI website (www.seattleintegral.com) launched in September. Each subgroup will have their website or their own page that tells about the group and a contact. If you already have a website (like IOS 2 and Integral Spirituality), there can be a link to that site.

We need you, or someone in your group to write a description of your group as you'd like others to see it, and Gary needs it within a couple weeks, please!!!

Thanks!!!
